In 2022, Indian filmmaker Indra Kumar directs the fantasy drama Thank God, which is an official remake of a Danish film called Sorte Kugler. It stars Rakul-Preeth Singh, Devgn, and Malhotra.

ABOUT

A real estate businessman named Ayaan Kapoor is in debt of over 16 crores. He started his business with a lot of success, but after he got involved in black money and the subsequent demonetisation, he fell into a financial mess. He tried to sell his house, but he could not find a buyer. He then started living with his wife, Inspector Ruhi, and their daughter, Pihu.

A few days later, after getting involved in an accident, Ayaan is sent to Heaven. There, the gods Chitragupta and Yamaduta ask him to play the Game of Life, which is a type of game, to send him to Earth. There are 2 containers that contain white balls and black ones that represent his weaknesses and sins.

Ayaan’s initial position is very challenging due to his various black balls. He is jealous of his wife, as she is an inspector. He also failed to become one. In a scenario presented by Chitragupta, he is tasked with saving a hostage. His failure to perform competently shows that he is not a better inspector than his wife.

Despite being shown to be a believer in God, Ayaan still gets black balls due to his lack of humanity.

Eventually, he can control his anger by getting white balls. His previous challenges included apologizing to his elder sister for blaming her for the house fire that destroyed their father’s home. In Heaven, he gets beaten by his father.
